Novation Bass Station article

I guess it's worth to write something about old and forgotten Novation Bass Station soft synth. At Phatsobrown.wordpress.com you can find a nice review about it with few nice demo examples. Why bother if you have for example Novation V-Station ?
1. Totally different sound :)
2. It's quite possible that you already have a full version of Bass Station because it was freely included with some Midi Controllers etc.

the bass station is just a v-station with only 2 osc.

there isn't "Totally different sound".

the basses sounding always the same and flat... so why not take the v station firstly?

Thank you for plugging the article. You are right, good to remember 'old and forgotten' synths, especially when they are as good as this one!

To Anonymous: Listen to some of the samples on the article. You will find that they are anything but flat. Try some detuning and/or Pulse Width modulation for some movement. Also, the BassStation was based on older code, while the V-Station was a software version of the more recent K-Station. As such, the V sounds more 'modern' than the B, much in the vein of workhorse Virtual Analogs, while the Station has a more raw sound.

Thank you VST Cafe and congratulations on a fantastic site!
