Another short video tutorial from Sounds/To/Sample. This time it’s about creating that ‘Like a G6’ bassline – synth used: DCAM Strobe and some Logic Audio DAW plugins.
Ableton Live + DCAM Strobe + an Old track = Barbra Streisand 🙂
Yet another Dubstep bass. Example uses:
1. FXpansion Strobe synth
2. Logic Bitcrusher,
3. Logic Space Designer (Reverb),
4. Fabfilter Simplon Filter
Another shiny 😉 Electronic Dance Music video tutorial. This time it’s about creating sound(s) similar to Swedish House Mafia – One track. DAW is Logic Audio (but it really, doesn’t matter). Synths are Acess Virus TI, FXpansion Strobe, Logic EXS.
What I really like about this tutorial is the example of using distortion vst unit: Ohmicide:Melohman. It really changes the character of the sound. The other effect used is Audio Damage EOS (Reverb)
Now, this is huge. On official Future Music Magazine‘s YouTube channel we could find mostly some promos but it seems like they decided to do something generous 😉 They share some of the videos from their “In the Studio with…” series in 720p HD quality 🙂
Below, “In the studio with … Chris Lake” – one of my favourite videos. Chris shows how he created his great track (with beautiful vocal part by Nastala) called “If You Knew“. I like that he seems pretty honest. If there is something he doesn’t want to show, he just states it (ie. piano sound) :). Otherwise, he shows everything. Plugins, effects, automation. Well, just enjoy – very good video which lasts ~ 41 minutes 🙂
Synthesizing an analog clap sound (as well as other drum sounds) is not an easy task but thanks to Waveformless blog you can see the whole process of creating such sound using great FXpansion’s plugin called Strobe.
