Second sound design video tutorial – this time, Funkagenda explains how to create typical Dubstep (upper) Bass sound using NI Massive synth.
Nice tutorial by Funkagenda – he explains how to create from scratch that classic Anthemic Mainroom (EDM Genres) sound using the Lennar Digital Sylenth1 software synth. I don’t know why but I like this guy. Probably because he seems to be a positive person also the video lasts 23 minutes, so it’s not 60secs video: “how to create blabla sound”, it’s more like an interesting chit chat 😉
In our latest video tutorial from Dubspot sound design instructor/course designer Evan Sutton, we’ll learn more about making heavy bass using Native Instruments’ Massive, using a chain of waveshapers to create some out-of-this-world textures and mutations
It’s just some nice sound design tutorial created by Dubspot. The synth is Native Instruments FM8 and the main theme is: growl bass sound.
In this video tutorial you’ll learn how to create signature sound of the brilliant Julio Bashmore’s 2011 anthem – “Battle for Middle You”. It could be created using an 808 kick drum, but this time it’s Ableton Live Analog synth and some compression. You can download instrument rack here.
You can achieve similar effect to Avicii – Bromance sweep / uplifter sound in many ways. The above example is just … an example. It uses certain (Vengeance) sample, it uses Ableton Impulse device, but to be honest it may be any sample, and no Impulse is required. But still, it learns the effect 🙂 I remember that I used any synth with a simple square waveform selected, then some basic Ableton Live’s effects such as Saturation (or overdrive), Delay, Reverb and it blended pretty well with standard noise uplifter sound.
Like I said a week or two ago, I have plenty of NI Massive sound design videos (from YouTube) selected and as a result I post them here from time to time. Who knows, maybe finally I’ll start doing my own stuff using NI Massive … 🙂
This time it’s a main lead sound recreation (very accurate) from great track: Sub Focus – Rock It.
Well, another (but this time very quick) video tutorial about making the Dubstep Bass similar to bass used in Skrillex – Cinema track.
ps. People often email me about video tutorials, asking some questions. Please note that I’m not the author of these videos. I just post them because I find them better than tons of other uploaded on YouTube / Vimeo 🙂
Nice video tutorial about recreating a lead sound from drum & bass track: Sub Focus – Timewarp. I like it 🙂
Making an Aggresive Dubstep Bass sound in Ableton Live using just Ableton Operator synth (+ Live’s plugins).
